With the holidays right around the corner, I get all stressed out about gaining weight because normally it is about 5 or so pounds. See, in my family we have about 5 separate celebrations per holiday (Thanksgiving and Christmas) as I have a large family which ultimately means 5 large meals. I am always glad to see my family but even more glad to have them over because of all the darn food and eating that goes on!
This year I have decided to make some changes in my diet and exercise plan in order to maintain or even lose some weight this year. Want to know how I am going to do it? Sew my mouth shut! Ha! Just kidding.
No, I have already made significant changes in my wellness plan over the past 10 months and rather than just making the excuses of "Oh, it is the holidays I can eat whatever I want I'll work it off later" I am going to make a game plan and stick to it. Here are a few of the things I have written into my wellness plan over the past few months that will ensure I do not gain weight! I thought I would share with you as this is a concern and struggle for most of us this time of year.
1. Commit to my fitness and nutrition program with Insanity by Shaun T.
2. Drink at least 8 glass of water a day.
3. Stock up on veggies and fruit for quick snacks instead of cookies or candy.
4. Replace at least one meal a day with Shakeology.
5. Fit in some extra walking when I can throughout the day.
6. Keep in mind that I am a role model for others so sticking with the plan and encouraging others to utilize some of these tools is so important.
If you are looking for someone to help you stick with your weight loss/maintenance goals throughout the holidays or any other time I am happy to help give you some direction and support. Check out my website and contact me!
